Business Opportunities

Bay Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms that wish to be placed on its contact list for future procurements of petroleum, construction, janitorial supplies, management services, advertising materials, building upkeep materials, printing and signs, office supplies and any other type of services or goods pertaining to transportation.   

A DBE is a for-profit small business concern:  (1) That is at least 51% owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged or, in case of a corporation, in which 51% of the stock is owned by one or more such individuals; and (2) Whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of the socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who own it.   

Qualifications are based on the firm being certified by the Michigan UCP (Unified Certification Program).   Interested firms should submit a summary of services, brochures, catalogs and/or letters of interest stating the firm’s qualifications to the Purchasing Department, Bay Metro Transit, 1510 N.
